Early in the morning, we will explore the rainforest by canoe. After breakfast, we will paddle down the river to visit the indigenous Siona community. There, we will immerse ourselves in their daily life, learning about their native language and customs as we stroll through their small farm, picking and tasting some tropical fruits. Afterwards, we will participate in the making of “Cassave”, the traditional cassava bread along with other local snacks prepared by the Siona family – the perfect time for lunch! After lunch, the Siona women will show and offer their beautiful crafts, necklaces and bracelets, which are wonderful souvenirs and help the Siona families. Later, we will return to the lodge for a short break.
In the afternoon, we will embark on a walk through the rainforest, discovering how various forms of life coexist and thrive in this delicate ecosystem. On our way back to the lodge, we will observe the emergence of nocturnal life; Insects, spiders, snakes and frogs will come to life as the sun sets, adding to the symphony of sounds of the rainforest. After our adventure, dinner will be served.
