We leave Quito in the morning at approximately 8:00 and head south of the country to one of the most important protected areas of Ecuador and one of the vamost desired by mountaineers in the world, the Cotopaxi volcano and national park (5,897 meters above sea level). We will visit the Limpiopungo lagoon at 3,896 meters above sea level, a place that will allow us to appreciate different species of flora and fauna in the area. Later, we will arrive at the Mariscal Sucre interpretation center. In this place, it is important to learn about the phases of the moorland, as well as information about the emergence of springs and various lagoons such as Limpiopungo, among others. We will continue towards the ecological reserve "Los Ilinizas" without first visiting the Toachi River canyon. Arrival and dinner in Quilotoa. Accommodation and rest.

After breakfast, we’ll start the day with a short but breath-taking hike around the Quilotoa volcano caldera, a volcanic crater renowned for its stunning emerald-green lagoon at the bottom. During the hike, we'll enjoy panoramic views and the natural beauty of this unique geological formation. Afterwards, we’ll head to the charming town of Baños de Agua Santa, known for its thermal baths and spectacular waterfalls.

Lunch Time (not included) in Baños: In Baños, we'll have free time to enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants the city has to offer. The area is known for its diverse culinary options, ranging from traditional Ecuadorian dishes to international cuisine. Take this opportunity to try local specialties, such as cuy (guinea pig), or choose from a variety of other options to suit your preferences.

Visit to the Tree House and the Hands of God Viewpoint: After lunch, we'll take you to the famous Tree House, an iconic spot in Baños known for its swing at the edge of the cliff, offering stunning views of the valley and surrounding mountains. You'll also have the chance to explore the Hands of God Viewpoint, a unique structure featuring massive stone hands extending out over the void, providing a spectacular perspective of the landscape and an unforgettable experience. Salimos de la Reserva Ecológica Ilinizas y nos dirigimos al sureste de Ecuador en un recorrido de aproximadamente tres horas y media para llegar a la ciudad de Baños de Agua Santa, situada a una altura de 1.300 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Tendremos tiempo para disfrutar de un almuerzo local (no incluido), para luego continuar hasta la Casa del Árbol, ubicada a 1.800 metros sobre el nivel del mar, donde tendremos una vista panorámica de la ciudad y del majestuoso Mama Tungurahua, un pico cónico de 5.026 metros sobre el nivel del mar, que se encuentra potencialmente activo. Aquí experimentaremos el famoso columpio del fin del mundo.

Luego, nos dirigiremos al Mirador Manos de la Pachamama, donde experimentaremos la sensación de vértigo al estar parados sobre manos de concreto al borde de un precipicio, conectados por un puente de vidrio. La experiencia es única y emocionante.

We leave the Ilinizas Ecological Reserve and head southeast in Ecuador on a route of approximately three and a half hours to reach the city of Baños de Agua Santa, situated at an elevation of 1,300 meters above sea level. We’ll have time to enjoy a local lunch (not included), and then continue to the Tree House, located at 1,800 meters above sea level, where we’ll have a panoramic view of the city and the majestic Mama Tungurahua, a conical peak at 5,026 meters above sea level, which is potentially active. Here, we’ll experience the famous swing at the end of the world.

Next, we’ll head to the Mirador Manos de la Pachamama, where we’ll experience the sensation of vertigo while standing on concrete hands at the edge of a precipice, connected by a glass bridge. The experience is unique and exhilarating.

We’ll proceed to the waterfall route along the Pastaza River, with its various tributaries such as Agoyán, Río Negro, Río Blanco, and Río Verde. Along this route, you can see several waterfalls, including Manto de la Novia and the famous Pailón del Diablo. We’ll have the chance to descend to 1,300 meters near the waterfall, where there’s a small rocky section similar to a cave that provides an impressive view of this majestic natural creation.

We’ll visit the Basilica of the Virgin of Baños de Agua Santa, a new Gothic-style building constructed by the Dominicans. The interior decoration deviates from the new Gothic style, featuring various colorful paintings representing the miracles of the Virgin, and the entire construction is made of volcanic stone.

Return to Quito: Finally, we will return to Quito, where we will arrive at the end of the day. We’ll take advantage of the return journey to relax after the day's experiences.

Tendremos tiempo para almorzar y luego regresaremos por la misma ruta, pasando en teleférico por el río Pastaza cerca de la cascada “Manto de la Novia”, que tiene aproximadamente 200 metros de altura.

También existe la opción de participar en actividades extremas como el Canopy sobre el río Pastaza, con una pendiente de 25° y una longitud de 1.000 metros sobre el río.
Visitaremos la Basílica de la Virgen de Baños de Agua Santa, un nuevo edificio de estilo gótico construido por los dominicos. La decoración interior se aleja del nuevo estilo gótico, con diversas pinturas coloridas que representan los milagros de la Virgen, y toda la construcción está hecha de piedra volcánica.

Finalmente retornaremos hacia la ciudad de Quito donde arribaremos al hotel asignado. Fin de los servicios.
